these two are very important. gambling is a serious problem and knowing when to stop is the key to not letting addiction take you over.

When you play on borrowed money, you are only asking for trouble. Set a bankroll and stick to it.

Going a bit off-topic.

Gambling itself is not a problem. We gamble lots of times every day but we don't realize it since most of us are led to believe that gambling involves money, playing cards and the likes.

What makes gambling bad is when we can no longer stop doing it. Gambling addiction is hard. It may take counseling to stop compulsive and obsessive gambling. This affects the person because he/she might be spending money more than what he/she earns. Borrowing money just to gamble and then accumulating huge debts. Spending money for gambling that is supposedly (the money) for your kids' school fees or house repairs. These are a few examples.

I agree. some people find it hard to fight against the compulsion to stop. this usually happens when one is losing and the desire to "win it all back" or "all it takes is just one win". This is why gambling becomes an addiction. The will or desire to stop coupled with the giddiness and the high of the win are a potent combination.

How to carefully choose a machine? What are good machines, those that give you $$$, yes? What about bad machines? Sorry, it's just too hollow for me. But thanks for creating that list though! :)
